I'M CERTIFIED!!!

I got my diploma from Dewberry Designs, Inc. for One Stroke Certified Instructor Training class! Also got my name tag.
This was my dream to paint! Now I am certified to instruct painting classes! I can't believe it!

And on the first day to meet Donna Dewberry herself was worth the whole trip!!! I thought she would be conceited and too busy to even stick her head in the door. But she is just the opposite! She is wonderful, down-to-earth and very friendly! But most of all she is a christain, which means more to me than anything! She even taught the class the first day! Wow! Now who can say that about a world renowned famous artist like her.

I would like to thank the whole staff that works for Dewberry Designs, Inc. Have a blessed New Year and I wish you all the best with Super Education 2008!!

CERTIFICATION WEEK!!! NOV26-30,2007!!!

Hello!
Please pray for me this next week as I make my journey to Orlando, FL for certification to be a One Stroke Certified Instructor!!!
I am so excited to get the opportunity to go and learn more of the One Stroke method. Plus meet others that are in the same art market that I am in! I plan to make the most of this trip and come back enlightened and renewed with a freshness that only God can give me.
I have prayed and I have assurance that I will be fine physically and will pass the certification!
Thanks for all of you for reading my blog and praying for me.
I will report more after next week's trip to Orlando!

I have been studying hard for Certification Day!!! Haven't meant to ignore my blog. Hope everyone understands.

Please pray for me. The week of Nov 26-30 I am planning to go to Orlando, FL to get certified to be a One Stroke Instructor.

I am so excited! And nervous! Please pray for my shaking knees and cold hands that I may finish with a passing grade.

May God get the glory for helping me through this hurdle of art painting!

Moultrie EXPO

Jerry and I went to the Moultrie EXPO on Tuesday. Boy, we got their before the crowd and it was still so crowded we could hardly move. Not to say anything about our bodies being EXHAUSTED and our pocketbooks to boot!
This is not for me! Too many people and no place to sit! Don't think you can go there and stay on your diet. I blew mine that day. The lemonade I had was so watered down it was like drinking water. But that was fine with me. Jerry didn't like it. But it ran my blood sugars up.
Needless to say I went to bed as soon as I got home about 7pm.
Not for me!

Now, is that too busy or what? It was October 7, 1951. So guess how old I am. Just 56!

Where did the week go?

This week has just flew by me so fast! I don't even think I got anything accomplished except going to 2 different doctors. Those office appointments are awful to have to hurry to and sit and wait and wait and wait.
Guess I will get back to being busy now. Later.

My day with Sandy! 9-27-2007

I arrived at Sandy's house about 10am and worked on this piece until about 3pm. I have not put the finishing touches on it yet. But I will and I will put it on my blog.
If you have not had a day at Sandy's house, I urge you to do whatever it takes to get there.
Her home is beautiful, comfortable and inviting with plenty of work space.
Sandy gives you special treatment and gives her BEST kept secrets of painting the perfect pictures. She gives the one on one attention that all of us need in class to bring out your best paintings. She is a cheerful and dedicated teacher and a great christian woman. She has taught me about life as well as art. With a woman so talented and sweet, what more can anyone ask for.
Thank you, Sandy from the bottom of my heart for your teaching of art and life. You will always be my friend and teacher.
Thanks also to her husband and children and Posh and Becks for time spent at your home with Sandy.
