It's called the name game, and here are the rules for those that choose to follow them: Players, you must list one fact that is somehow relevant to your life for each letter of your middle name. If you don’t have a middle name, use the middle name you would have liked to have had. When you are tagged you need to write your own blog post containing your own middle name game facts. At the end of your blog post, you need to choose one person for each letter of your middle name to tag. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

So here is my middle name...

S- Special

U- Understanding

E- Entertaining

The Nice Matters Award

I do now bequeath the NICE MATTERS award to my baby sister, Patsy Wynn for being nice to me over the years. She has stuck by me through some trying times and been nice when I wasn't nice. Congradulations to Patsy Wynn!

Some awards, a recipe, an egg& a giveaway!Since I was generously given this award "Nice Matters" it's now my blog duty to give it away. The hard thing is that everyone in my "favorite places to visit" are so deserving of this award. I wanted to pass it along to 4 very special people to me and those are 4 of my students that have been so supportive, so nice and well I'm so excited that they all started blogs of their own so they can share their ART with the world. You can read more about the Nice Matters award here.Terry ~ was my first student. She brought friends over to my house to paint and when HL opened ~ really encouraged me to share my ART with more people. NICE NICE NICE!Kim ~ Kim has been faithful in her ART classes and along with her daughter (stephanie - below) she has started selling her ART and sharing it with others! NICE NICE NICEAlice ~ Alice has also been faithful in learning and is ever so eager to learn new things so that she can paint them and share them with her family! NICE NICE NICEStephanie ~ a young bride to be has also been faithful in her classes and has been commissioned to paint several paintings. Her and her mom (kim - above) get together and paint new things all the time and I'm always anxious to see their new projects. NICE NICE NICEYou ladies have been so nice to spend your time with me and have allowed me to share my passion for painting with you! You are all a blessing to me and I hope you'll accept this small token of appreciation!A recipe ~I love this homemade salsa that my sister in law hooked me on many years ago.2 cans black beans2 cans corn4 fresh tomotoes - chopped1 large red onion or vidalia onionCilantro chopped - I love cilantro so I use a lot1/2 bottle of italian dressingMix together and it's ready. I like to put mine in the fridge and eat it cold ~ tastes better to me after it has been chilled for a while. ENJOY! So yesterday the boys and I did an experiment. We wanted to see how long it would take for an egg to cook outside. We put the egg out at 4p.m.We took this picture on the left at 4:30p.m. and the one below at 5p.m.Got tired of going out in the heat & lost interest so we threw it away but were quite surprised how much it cooked in an hour.I cannot believe the temperatures we and other parts of the country are having. Heat indexes are dreadful as well. KEEP COOL!AND NOW A GIVEAWAY! well ALMOST!This is my 199 post which means my post on Monday will be my 200th! So check back on Monday and see what I have as a giveaway prize. Let me know you stopped by today and I'll enter comments today in as well!Have a wonderful weekend. I'm off to organize, paint, and enjoy my puppies and family!

Happy Birthday, Jerry!

Yesterday was my darling husband's birthday! Jerry was surprised when I took him out to eat in Perry at Angelinas Restaurant. Especially when his buddy, Kenny Bryant and his wife, Gail showed up. The dinner was great! And we all ate too much!
(Psssst! he turned 58! And he still wears jeans!)
